 Off-Site Cooking / On-Location Catering

Booking & Payment

  • 50% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your event date and staffing.
  • The remaining 50% balance is due 7 days prior to the event date.
  • Orders not paid in full by the 7-day mark may be cancelled at Burger Schmurger's discretion, with the deposit forfeited.

Cancellation

  • More than 7 days before the event: deposit is forfeited; any additional payments are refunded in full.
  • Within 7 days of the event: the full order amount is non-refundable.

 


 

3. Guest Count Changes

Final guest counts must be confirmed at the time the balance is due (72 hours prior for delivery; 7 days prior for off-site cooking). After that deadline:

  • Guest counts may be increased based on kitchen and staffing availability.
  • Guest counts cannot be reduced, and the confirmed total remains billable.

 


 

4. Postponement & Rescheduling

We understand plans change. One complimentary reschedule is permitted per booking, subject to the following:

  • Delivery: requests must be made more than 72 hours before the scheduled delivery; new date must fall within 60 days.
  • Off-Site Cooking: requests must be made more than 7 days before the scheduled event; new date must fall within 90 days.
  • Deposits transfer to the rescheduled date. Additional reschedules, or reschedules requested inside the cutoff windows above, are treated as cancellations under Sections 1 and 2.

 


 

5. Weather & Force Majeure

In the event of documented severe weather, government-ordered closures, or other circumstances reasonably beyond either party's control, Burger Schmurger will work with the client in good faith to reschedule the event within 90 days at no penalty. Deposits and any payments made will transfer to the rescheduled date. If rescheduling is not possible, refunds will be issued on a case-by-case basis at Burger Schmurger's discretion, net of any food, labor, or third-party costs already incurred.

 


 

6. How to Cancel or Reschedule

All cancellation and postponement requests must be submitted in writing to catering@burgerschmurger.com and are effective only upon written confirmation from Burger Schmurger. Verbal requests, voicemails, and texts do not constitute valid notice.
